Unlike any other non-profit charitable organization in existence, C.H.A.R.M.E.D., Incorporated was specifically designed to ensure that at least 80% of our income is dedicated to the efforts we are committed to pursuing, and not the salaries of those enlisted to aid us in those pursuits. California, on-the-other-hand, only requires non-profit organizations to ensure 20% of the money they collect from you is used to help others; the remaining 80% can be pocketed by the organization and disguised as “operating costs” (also known as salaries, and expenses).

THEREFORE, this is why we do not associate with a great many other non-profit organizations, such as The United Way: they can not not assure us that 80% of every dollar you generously give them does not end up in the pockets of their administrators or someone else’s pocket as a bonus or salary. Think about it! Isn’t that the least we can do to uphold your trust? And isn’t it charitable work we are doing? So we continue to ask: why should any non profit organization PROFIT from another’s hardships??
